Aardman Animation’s first foray into feature-length films in 2000 brought their distinctive claymation style to the big screen with a loose adaptation of The Great Escape. Sharing scoring duties were Media Ventures alumni John Powell and Harry Gregson-Williams who, with tongues planted firmly in their cheeks masterfully blended the classic tropes of symphonic war movie music with a comedic and satirical edge.
This particular cue was written by John Powell and shows his love of using quirky sounds in his writing.

Very nicely presented score of a fun orchestral cue. As always, Chris Siddall Music gives us a great bit of film music for study, really helping to fill in the void of such published material. Definitely check this one out if you are a John Powell fan!
