1994’s Legends of the Fall saw the reunion of composer James Horner and director Ed Zwick. Their previous collaboration, 1989’s stunner Glory, had produced one of the most effectively engaging and heart-breaking dramatic film scores of the era and Legends of the Fall was set to further this with perhaps Horner’s weightiest, most tragically melodramatic score of his career.
Legends of the Fall can be seen as a marker in Horner’s career, signalling the beginning of one of the most productive and successful periods of any film composer’s output, with 1995’s Apollo 13, Braveheart, Balto, Jumanji and Casper on the horizon.
Horner’s score features several distinct and well developed themes, beautifully orchestrated by Thomas Pasatieri and Don Davis. The sweeping landscape of Montana is given a lush and romantic soundtrack, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra which is truly one of the composer’s finest.

I really want to purchase this, but I strongly wish there were a digital version available. I am based in China, and the international shipping fee adds nearly 30% to the total cost, which is unfortunately a dealbreaker for me. A digital option would make this much more accessible for international customers.
Hi Patrick,
It's true that digital distribution would be a good option for some, however the ability for the first customer to be able to then upload the PDF for people to freely download would then negate many future sales of the digital or physical editions. There are considerable costs involved in producing these complete scores, and this would be a risk that would potentially make them non-viable from the outset. It's a difficult conundrum to solve. I do keep the shipping costs as low as possible by regularly negotiating the best possible rates, and only charge what it costs me to send. Consolidating titles into a single package does improve the cost-per-book ratio, so if you're interested in other titles as well, this might be a good option. After the initial shipping cost, the price increases in small increments with increased weight. Also if you intend to order 4+ titles (includes digital) you can email me for a coupon code that will give you 10% off at the checkout.
Best wishes,
Chris
