Unlike the subsequent Rambo movies, First Blood is a relatively bloodless one, with only one absolutely confirmed death clearly witnessed. First Blood’s examination of the treatment of Vietnam veterans in John Rambo’s search for companionship and redemption inspired composer Jerry Goldsmith to write a heart-warming and bittersweet theme. This edition represents Goldsmith’s unused instrumental version of the end titles music.
Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
