By Jerry Goldsmith. Score. 29 pages. Published by Chris Siddall Music Publishing.
After a six-month absence from theatres, Jerry Goldsmith returns with The Mummy; a barnstorming action score of epic proportions and bombast. The density of the orchestrations and the complexity of the melodic lines put you in mind of vibrant works such as First Knight, Deep Rising (also directed by Stephen Sommers), and especially The Wind and the Lion with its intoxicating ethnic percussion and pervading sense of Arabic mystique.
Created from the original manuscript, this release offers a rare opportunity to study film music in its authentic, original orchestration and arrangement. An opportunity not to be missed!
